Degradative Effect of Nattokinase on Spike Protein of SARS-CoV-2

Introduction
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused immense damage worldwide, and scientists have been exploring different ways to combat the virus. One area of research that has gained attention is the potential use of natural products to combat the spike protein with nattokinase being one such product.
What is Nattokinase?
Nattokinase is an enzyme produced by the bacterium Bacillus subtilis during the fermentation of soybeans. It has been consumed mainly in Japan for centuries and is known for its benefits in dissolving blood clots. Besides that, it is the one food, that is highest on Vitamin K2. This is an artery cleansing vitamin because it takes the calcium out of your arteries and brings it to your bones and teeth. nattokinase is also very good for your heart. So, there is a win-win situation: Cleansing your arteries of calcium, dissolving blood clots and it is good for the heart and above all, stops the spike protein. Does it go any better than that? Would that mean, that you can get some nattokinase at your Japanese food store and all will be fine? Well, unfortunately not. You can eat nattokinase and get some benefits like vitamin K2 as well as blood thinning. However, you might not be able to get any benefit against the Spike Protein.
What is the Spike Protein?
The spike protein is an essential component of the virus, allowing it to enter host cells and cause infection. Targeting the spike protein could potentially prevent or reduce the severity of COVID-19 infections. The spike protein is also being injected through mRNA vaccines, so that our cells produce it themselves to immunize us. Unfortunately, there have been side effects such as heart wall inflammation, stroke, and menstruation problems.
Degradative Effect on Spike Protein
Recent studies have shown that nattokinase has a degradative effect on the spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. The degrative effect of nattokinase has been demonstrated in vitro, using cell cultures infected with the spike protein and in vivo, using animal models. Adding nattokinase at the surface of the cell destroyed the spike protein (vitro).Injecting mice and rats with nattokinase also a degradative effect on the spike protein (vivo). The animal studies showed, the more nattokinase was injected, the more spike protein was destroyed.
In an article published by Nature it says:
"Restoration of blood flow was directly proportional to the amount of Nattokinase injected into chemically induced thrombi in rats." Meaning, they produced rats with a chemically induced thrombus. Once it was clear, that the rat has a thrombus or blood clot, they injected nattokinase and voilà. The thrombus dissolved.
*Directly proportional," in this context means: the more they have injected, the more clots were dissolved.
Why Nattokinase Supplements Won't Work?
The NIH states:
"The molecular size of nattokinase is generally considered to be too large for oral absorption through the GI tract. It is recognized, that nattokinase may be susceptible to chemical oxidation and inactivation or denaturation in the GI tract."
Furthermore, the NIH states, that "the inhibitory effect of the nattokinase extract was impaired upon heating."
Enzymes get destroyed by Heating or Freezing
Nattokinase is an enzyme and enzymes get destroyed by heating or by freezing likewise. Remember, the nattokinase you purchase in the Japanese food store comes frozen. In frozen food, the enzymes are destroyed the same way as in heated foods. These are the 2 reasons why we cannot destroy the spike protein just like that. Eating nattokinase or taking nattokinase supplements won't be effective in combating the spike protein.
Nattokinase Transdermal Patches
There is a way around this problem by using a delivery system that does not require passing through the GI tract and where the size of the molecule does not matter - using nattokinase Transdermal Patches and Suppositories. This solution mimics also much more the injections, done on rats and mice.
Conclusion
In conclusion, nattokinase has a degradative effect on the spike protein and the first companies have found a way around the problem of oral absorption. However, it is essential to do more research to fully understand the potential benefits of nattokinase in combating the spike protein.
